It seems like I talk about hypothermia every winter, and it’s for good reason. Life-threatening winter storms like the imminent one in the Midwest and East happen every year, and people need to know what to do. I even learned a new word this year: Bombogenesis! It means a phenomenon or process in which there is rapid and sustained falling of barometric pressure in the center of a low-pressure system, indicating strengthening into a powerful storm.
