We published our latest book “Alton’s Pandemic Preparedness Guide: Dealing with Emerging and Current Viral Threats” recently, but haven’t yet made a post on the website about it. This is because we’ve been working non-stop to provide updates on the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide medical supplies to those who need them.

Alton’s Pandemic Preparedness Guide was actually born years ago, with the first posts we made regarding the Swine Flu pandemic. Since then, the world has undergone a number of epidemics, most of which are viral and all of which we’ve researched and written about.

We had already written a book about bacterial diseases and antibiotics called “Alton’s Antibiotics and Infectious Disease: The Layman’s Guide…” but no book about what we thought was the most likely pandemic candidate: a virus.

Eleven years ago we thought the virus would be a form of influenza, but the coronavirus proved us wrong. So, after publishing books on Ebola, Zika, and other diseases, we decided on a general book that dealt with viruses in general, COVID-19 and influenza in particular, and a lot of practical advice about home care, personal protection, and just about everything that deals with a viral pandemic.
We hope you’ll consider a copy for your survival library. You’ll find the book on Amazon and on our website at store.doomandbloom.net. As always, you’ll continue to find lots of free content (more than 1200 articles, podcasts, and videos) at doomandbloom.net.
Wishing you the best of health in good times or bad,
Joe Alton MD Amy Alton ARNP
