Although science has made great progress against bacterial disease, our advances against viruses are primitive. Now, new clinical trials report progress against the current pandemic in the form of a new drug. Today Joe Alton MD (aka Dr.Bones) and Nurse Practitioner Amy Alton talk about two products developed by Merck Pharmaceuticals: Ivermectin and Molnupiravir, and the evidence for their effectiveness in the COVID pandemic. Plus, why is Merck pushing molnupiravir over ivermectin, which is cheaper and has been in use for decades?
