In Joe Alton, M.D.’s latest video, he talks about how people confuse true long-term survival medicine with “wilderness” medicine.  Some things may be similar, but the primary goal is different.  In wilderness medicine, you are stabilizing a sick or injured individual and transporting them to the nearest modern medical facility.  In true survival medicine, there is NO modern medical facility to transport to.  This requires a change in mindset; additional skills and, even, supplies are needed when you are the end of the line with regards to your family long term survival.  Here’s the link to the Video by Dr. Bones, the Disaster Doc…
