The race to find an effective treatment against COVID-19 is in full swing, and the latest drug approved by the FDA for emergency use is remdesivir. Originally developed to combat Hepatitis C, it showed less than stellar results against Ebola but possible potential for use against coronaviruses. Now, it is the next great hope against the COVID-19 pandemic.
