New medical products are introduced from time to time that may help deal with complex injuries. A number of bleeding wounds, such as those on the neck and face, are not amenable to placing a tourniquet, so there is space for new technology that could be used by the survival medic to deal, at least temporarily, with these types of problems. One such product is the iTClamp(r), a simple device approved by the Tactical Combat Casualty Care committee for certain injuries.
