Vitamin D deficiency is seen in 42% of Americans, and the worse it is, the more likely that bad outcomes will occur in COVID-19 patients. Countries with less incidence of deficiency of this important nutrient have lower death rates from the virus. Although your skin produces vitamin D with exposure to the sun, are you getting enough to keep your levels healthy and avoid a bad case of COVID pneumonia or other respiratory infections?
